The Anson Jones Chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony on May 7th, welcoming a new class of members and recognizing the incoming officers.
This year's inductees were chosen based on the four pillars of NHS including scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The ceremony acknowledged their academic achievements and their commitment to making a positive impact on the school and community.
The new members include Colton Cook, Elijah De La Cruz, Mattison Dymock, Emiliano Garcia, Cristyn Hartman, Anthony Hernandez, Ella-Sophie McCurdy, Jadyn Soto, Joah St. John, and Kristen Wilburn.
The ceremony also introduced the chapter's new officers for the upcoming year. These student leaders will be responsible for guiding the NHS activities and upholding its values throughout the year.
The new Senior officers and members include Avan Jobe, President, Chloe Fernandez, Vice President, Lacy Cook, Secretary, Ava Hagler, Treasurer, Carson Ronquillo, Historian, Stryker Dillard, Tayli Henrich, and Christian Ronquillo.
NHS advisors, Amie Felan and Bobbi Lytle, along with Faculty Council, Rob Hartman, Jason Josselet, Stephen Scitern, Molly Mishler, and Chandler McCombs congratulated both the new members and officers.
A special thanks was extended to the 2023-2024 officers and members including Esy Maldonado, Tyler Wilburn, Josiah St. John, Samuel Cowan, Jenna Lambert, Emma Collier, Kate Kirschner, Chanlee Roberts and William Wilburn.
